Tables/Utilities - Auto Fill Table

The Auto-Fill Table is used to define the cities and towns in your area and their related state/province, postal codes and area codes. By defining them in this table, you can save a lot of time when keying in new addresses, since the unique portion of the city or town name identifies the entry in this table and is used to automatically fill in the rest of the information in for you, including a portion of the postal code and a default area code for phone numbers. For example, using the cities of "Cartoonville" and "Looneytoons", you only need to type a "C" in the city field to automatically fill in "Cartoonville" in the City field, "TV" in the State/Province field, "980" in the postal code field and "917" as the area code in any phone number field. Or, you only need to type an "L" in the city field to automatically fill in "Looneytoons" in the City field, "TV" in the State/Province field, "98010" in the postal code field, and "917" as the area code in any phone number field.

The "List Of Auto-Fill Cities" screen (shown below) appears when you click the (Auto Fill Table) menu button. Click a city to update it or click (Add) to add another entry.

The "Define Auto-Fill Information" screen lets you key in the name of the town or city, its postal code (or postal code prefix), and the default phone number area code to use to prefix all phone numbers for people in that city.
